Seasons Hospice is a faith-based hospice service for patients that have been given tough news of terminal illness.  “We have been in the Springfield area for 13 years taking care of patients … over 3100 patients… in those 13 years,” says Lindsey Huffman, Director of Nursing at Seasons. Lindsey went on to say, “We focus on providing good care and we do it differently.  All hospices have Medicare regulations and certain things they have to do. We focus on doing those things, of course, but also going above and beyond … focusing more on the individual and their family.”

“Hospice is a journey,” Lindsey continues, “and things we are able to be a part of are very intimate at times and we don’t take that for granted.  It’s very special to us. We know that we have one chance to instill hope … a different kind of hope.  We provide compassion to people at a sometimes very desperate hour.  Our goal is to manage someone’s comfort whether it’s physical, emotional or spiritual as a team that goes out and supports the patient and the family.”
