A Memory Worth Repeating…

Anyone else love when your Facebook memories pop up? Ok, let’s be honest sometimes I’m sure we love it and sometimes we hate it. Haha! You never know what crazy photo or post is going to pop up. Lucky for me this morning I opened my Facebook like I usually do, because I love me some social media first thing in the A.M. and there was the BEST memory. One that I will continue to repost, repeat, and reuse every year.

“One of the hardest decisions you’ll ever face in life is choosing whether to walk away or try harder.”

I posted that quote last year in 2020 when we were in the thick of Covid and trying to figure out how to navigate all the chaos. Whoa. That is the only real word I have for it. Still today, a year later, it’s tough. Everything is unknown. We are all navigating the unknown. I honestly loved that this memory popped up when it did. It hit hard today.

While it seems so easy to just want to throw in the towel, it’s not worth it. Nothing that is worth it comes easy. I continue to tell myself that daily. NOTHING THAT IS WORTH IT COMES EASY! You must find your why, your niche, your reason and purpose for doing what you do.

I found myself doubting ME a lot last year. Was I where I was supposed to be? I’d wake up and hear my on-call phone ringing, and think oh my goodness what now? Or I’d wake up to 35 text messages on my phone. Brooke’s New Years Resolution for me was to not have any unread text in my phone. Haha! It was a lot. Was someone calling in? Was someone sick? Was someone dying? Was someone calling to say they had an exposure? All those things. It felt like to much. At the time.

I look back now and know I was right where I was supposed to be. When you believe in yourself and believe in what your mission is, everything else starts to fall in to place. I’m thankful for the people in my life that have shown me that giving up is not acceptable if you want to be successful. So, at the end of the day I will always encourage you to try harder.
